Riding for Double M Racing is top rider Scottish racer David Paton, who started racing at the age of 13 on mini-motos.

Quick to progress David went on to win the championship in his second and last year.

David then aged 14, moved onto the Aprilia 125′s where he won the Scottish championship in his first year and went onto retain it in his 2nd as well as winning the final round of the British Superteens.

Next on the agenda was the 400′s where he won the Scottish title and numerous British MRO rounds, also taking 6 lap records at different tracks around Britain.

2006-2008 saw David’s move to the British scene in the Virgin Media R6 cup, where he finished 3rd overall in 2007, and was also featured in channel 4′s documentary programme Natural Born Racers.

In 2008 David contested a few rounds of the European Championship with a highest finish of 8th, David also breifly raced for AIM Yamaha in the 2008 British Supersport.

In 2009 David raced in the British Supersport Cup achieving several podiums.

The 2010 season saw a jump to 1000cc machinery with a season riding the new BMW S1000R in the Scottish Championship and selected British Superstock rounds. David won the KDMC Championship, the NEMCRC Championship and was 2nd in the Scottish Championship. He was a consistent top ten runner at the BSB rounds!
